Beannachtai na Féile Pádraig duit!!!!!
St Patrick's Day came and went with hardly a notice this year. I love my Irish heritage but Steve and I didn't do any celebrating. Nary a Smithwick's, Guiness or even an O'Doul's passed our lips!! Oh well, maybe next year. I hope all of you were able to lift a glass to the proud Irish on the day that everyone celebrates being Irish, even if for only one day a year......Sláinte!!!

Feeder Wars
I should have been a naturalist. I love being outdoors. I love watching wildlife, their habits and routines. I really could watch them for hours. The last couple of weeks has been really fun. With the warmer temperatures and spring like weather, the birds have been flocking to the feeders. While they are here they are taking advantage of the pond and having a bath. Today was and especially active day. So many birds. The most common is the Pine Siskin. They come in bunches. The rest come singly or maybe in pairs. I wish I were a better photographer. I know nothing about aperture, lighting, speed, so I just point and shoot. Thank goodness we have a decent camera or these pictures would never have come out at all. Some of the photos are better seen if you click on them and see them larger.

Leavenworth, Washington December 27th, 2009
Steve and I drove to Leavenworth to spend our 40th wedding anniversary. We couldn't think of a more beautiful place to celebrate. Because of the time of year of our anniversary, and considering we spent our honeymoon all those years ago at Yosemite, this was the perfect choice for us. We had a beautiful suite, great food, a relaxing spa experience and lots of fun spending time walking around town and the riverside park in the VERY cold weather. Thanks, Honey and here's to forty more....haha!!!!
